Let's Take a Journey Together
Today is November 14th, 2021.
Here in Florida, central Florida, the weather is currently 69 degrees and sunny. We are expecting it to drop into the 50’s tonight, and tomorrow to be more of the same.
Sometimes I forget that it is NOT like this elsewhere in the United States.
That is because as humans we usually allow ourselves to get used to what we see around us, and we feel as if everything around us is the same way for everyone.
Marketing online is the same way.
Sometimes we learn things, and automatically forget what it was like to NOT know what we now know. It's human nature.
When I started dabbling in online marketing, in 2008, I can assure you that I did not know anything at all. I had played around online since 1995, but that was so early in internet terms, that online marketing was not even a blip on my radar.
Not at all…
It wasn’t until late 2007 and early 2008 before I became really interested in marketing online, as a business of choice.
The reason for that was because I had just lost my job, due to the economic downturn in the United States, also known fondly as “The Great Depression”.
My life was all of a sudden turned upside down. I had just purchased a NEW car (5 months earlier), with a $500 car payment, lived in a condo I could no longer afford, and I had just liquidated my 401K.
Life was great! 🙁
It was the lowest point in my life.
And somehow I survived.
That’s the thing, life throws curve balls at you, and you have to figure out how to just tap the ball so you can get to first base. [forget about hitting a home run]
That’s it.
That was not the time for me to give up.
Sure I could have. I could have played the crying game. But experience has taught me that that gets no one anywhere.
I did STOP and PRAY. That always gets you somewhere.
God has been good to me.
My fiancé and I both received job offers, within an hour of each other, when before praying and letting go, no one would return calls, and our resumes were collecting dust.
God definitely reminded me that…
#1 He listens
#2 He likes to make an entrance.
Many times since then, problems will show up and I will start to question things, blame this or that, and try to fix it all on my own. [it never works]
Then I remember, that the master problem solver, God himself, is a chain breaker.
There is no problem too big, no issue too secret, and no wrong that cannot be righted.
We all suffer from time to time.
Besides, I've heard and experienced it, we do not get better in spite of it, but because of it.
Right now (I hope), we are getting close to being on the other side of this Covid-19 nightmare.
I still remember EXACTLY what I felt when I lost my job.
I still remember EXACTLY what it felt like to KNOW I could very well be homeless.
I still remember EXACTLY what it felt like to receive that job offer.
But for some of you out there, you are still suffering because of it in one form or fashion.
You may have lost a job.
Maybe you cannot pay your rent.
Your mortgage may be past due.
Your bills are piling up, and you don’t know what to do.
Maybe even worse, the breadwinner in the family may have even been lost due to complications with Covid-19. [if so, I am so very sorry]
I don’t know what you may be going through, or how it has affected you.
But…I do still remember how I felt!
If you ever wanted to talk to someone about it, I understand. In my darkest hours, and I've had a few, it was talking to others that helped me get through those times.
I’m not saying I will have answers for you, but then again, maybe I have had to deal with it and I can share some insight.
Either way…
I can be a sounding board.
If you would like to talk, simply fill out the form below. I will be notified and I'll shoot you an email with my phone number so we can talk. I'm not selling anything. I just want to help anyone I can.
Take care and be well.
