EP43: Your Questions Answered

Thanks for joining me today.

We have all had questions, from time to time, that deserved to be answered.

Tough questions.

Perplexing questions.

Sometimes, even those impossible questions.

It’s time they get answered.

First off though, let’s start with a story…

Not a STORY!!!

YES, a short story.

I can remember back in the day (before time itself) when you could simply go and visit your friends anytime you wanted.

That’s right, I remember just dropping by anytime I wanted and [hey, guess what?] “it was ok”.

Remember, these were my friends.

Best friends.

We liked being around each other, liked mostly the same things, and enjoyed the time we had with each other.

This was the 1980’s.

NOW though…

It doesn’t work that way.

Not at all!

Today…

You probably need to make an appointment or at the least call ahead.

Just dropping by is not even a thing anymore. Too bad too!

Similarly, there was a time when you could call someone, and hey, they would answer.

NOW, you get the answering machine or voicemail.

Websites…

Don’t get me started!

When was the last time you tried calling someone from a phone number on a website, and you talked to a human being?

Right now you may be asking yourself, “what does this have to do with answering my questions?”

The point is this.

It is VERY difficult to get answers to questions you and I have when everyone has stopped being present.

Don’t Call Me!
Don’t Text Me!
Don’t Email Me!

Online, people [solopreneurs] cannot devote ALL their time to answering a phone and dealing with issues and problems. Yes, they still need to be running a business.

But back in the 1980s, I really liked being able to drop in and have human interaction whenever I wanted it.

So…

I was thinking…

How can I help YOU get answers to your questions as fast as possible while allowing me to still get my work done?

I enjoy creating blog posts and podcasts to help you along your journey, but…

However, I feel as if I am failing you. 🙁

I think I can do better.

I think there should be a better way to serve you.

And...

...There is!

But it involves you. I still LIKE that Human interaction.

It REQUIRES you to communicate with me.

I need to know what you want to know, and learn, and what are struggles you are currently dealing with.

With this information, I can address these issues one at a time. Instead of me telling you what I think you want to know, wouldn’t you prefer to have REAL answers to REAL concerns?

This is a TEAM effort.

I need ALL of you out there to help.

I know we ALL have questions and problems that WE all deal with ALL the time.

Me included.

I would have loved to have had a podcast where I could ask the host a question, knowing he or she would answer it, whether via email or through the podcast.

For me, that would have been a GAME CHANGER.

Maybe I’m completely off track, and all my listeners [that would be YOU] have online marketing dialed in and don't need to do better or learn how to make more, by doing less?!

But I am pretty sure that is not the case.

I think most of you are just like me. (be thankful you don't look like me)

We get up every day, hoping to help others more today than we did yesterday.

It’s not easy.

It takes effort to do this consistently.

It takes outer box thinking.

Most of the time the best ideas are the simplest ones, but for some reason, humans just like being complicated.

Serving others is a privilege.

That is what I believe.

But doing that is not as easy as I would like.

Our followers, yours and mine, could be doing anything at all, but they are listening, learning, or purchasing from you.

To keep that happening, we ALL need to be relevant [to them].

We NEED to keep learning and doing.

Being DOERS, not DONE!

So…

I need your help.

Remember this, “help me … help you” from the 1996 Jerry Maguire movie?

That’s what I need.

I need your help, knowing how I can best serve you. This gives you a unique opportunity that not everyone gets.

You can get answers to those hard questions you may have.

Will I be able to answer ALL of them?

I hope so, but I doubt ANYONE has ALL the answers!

But I’ll do the best I can.

Those I cannot answer because I don’t have the expertise, I will research and do my best to find you an answer, or recommend another person or source to you.

But, I’m confident I WILL be able to help the majority of you.
